Recently, I had the privilege to read X-ed by my friend and fellow author, Jackie Zack. The story is about an artist who produces fabulous abstract paintings. It’s a contemporary love story that is “artfully” written. You should read it.

At the same time, I found out that Jackie is also an artist and paints abstracts. I’ve seen some of them and love them.

Ever since then, I’ve had the urge to try my own had at abstract. Up until now, I’ve always painted with fine detail. The only painting I have of my own is this one below, inspired by my book His Perfect Love (no I didn’t pain the cover illustration. My wonderful illustrator did after I sent her the pictures I wanted her to combine for the title). Sorry the detail is so poor on this snapshot of the painting hanging on my wall. All my other paintings were given away.

Anyway, here are my first attempts at abstract painting. Most of you are going to say, “That’s not abstract.” But yes, it is a form of abstract. More in the style of Monet’s painting, which are not even close to a photograph of real things. Paintings like these have been given other names such as Impressionist and such, but in the grand scheme of things, they are abstract. Call them what you will, here are mine. I’ll keep adding them as they are created. Hope you enjoy them.
