Circling the Drain of Insanity

It came to my attention this morning that an invitation to the White House was declined by six members of the Patriots Football Team. A visit to the White House. A privilege most of us Americans would deem the event of a lifetime. My personal feeling about this is…let the babies stay home. Who needs them there?

Can you imagine turning down the chance to visit our Nation’s Capital and walk down those halls in the footprints of so many great historical figures who have walked there before? A place where much of the history of our country has come to past?

This refused invitation reminds me of a portion of Scripture from Luke 14:16-24:

…A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse…So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

My humble suggestion to President Trump is this. Let those disrespectful members of the Patriots Team stay home. Send their invitations to a Children’s Hospital. Let the babies who are still throwing temper tantrums after the election continue to suck their thumbs, but not in the White House.

And my advice to those of you who have declined President Trump’s invitation to visit the Capitol of the greatest nation on earth—and receive a commendation from our nation’s new leader, GROW UP, GET OVER IT.

That brings me to the people who are still throwing tantrums over those elected and appointed to run our government. From what I’ve seen, the majority of these people are disgruntled democrats. Now I know a lot of democrats who are good, law-abiding people, believers of the freedoms we have in this country to voice our opinions. But the democrats I know do not agree with these people who are causing such dissension in our country.

Every time the news media makes a big deal out of these protests, I feel as if I’m watching an out-of-control nursery school, full of spoiled children. I didn’t like the last administration, but did I make such a disgraceful display? No. The number people I know who voted for O’Bama the first time, as well as the second, could be counted on my one hand. Did I go out and trash places because I didn’t want him as my President? No. What a shame that these people are acting so childish. I’ve heard some of the comments other countries are making about America, and it makes me want to cry.

Yes, certain groups of this country are definitely circling the drain of insanity. Who’s to blame? Is it them, or the people they follow?
