May Your Christmas Be Filled With Blessings

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

I love the way my photograph of the front of our house came out. You see, I’m originally from the north. Born in Wisconsin and lived a great part of my life in Illinois. I was used to snow at this time of year, every year. Blizzards, slush, shoveling sidewalks was all a big part of my life for many years. Now, having lived in the south for more than twenty years, I miss that snow. Oh, not everyday, and not the slush and freezing part of it, but you know…the beauty of the falling flakes, the way it lays on the bows of trees, the rosy cheeks on children playing in the fluff. Yes, the entire winter scene.

Several years ago, I decided to make my Christmas decorating theme “Let It Snow.” I’ve stuck with that every year. This year, I think I’ve managed to really capture it.

There’s a blizzard out there! LOL

  1. Am I really the first to comment, Sharon? That makes me a bit sad. I guess others haven’t quite gotten over the Holidays. You have done a beautiful job setting up this personal web site. In answer to tor blog on your outdoor holiday decorations, I think they are lovely [spelled right, said in 3 syllables.] I was born in Decatur, Ill. where Dad grew up. But his job was gone sometime in 1934. I was 6 mo. old when family moved to Worcester where Mom’s whole family lived.

    • Yes, you are, Eleanor. Thank you for the nice comments. I guess it’s been a very busy holiday time for everyone. I’m so happy you’ve enjoyed the blog and the picture of the decorations.
