1 Package of your favorite crescents (store, bakery, or homemade)
1 tblsp. melted butter (for every two crescents)
1 tblsp. dark brown sugar (for every two crescents)
1 tsp. cinnamon (for every two crescents)
Mixture of cinnamon and sugar (like you’d make for cinnamon toast)
(Any of these measurements may be adjusted to your liking)
Cut each crescent as you would for a sandwich.
Mix the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until you have a paste.
Spread the paste inside the crescent.
(In the picture below, I mixed the butter and brown sugar, and after spreading that on the rolls, I sprinkled it with the cinnamon and sugar mixture – little variation to the recipe)
Place the crescents on a baking sheet (I use a baking stone)
Brush the tops of the crescents with butter (melted preferred, I usually use the leftover from the paste mixture).
Sprinkle the tops of the crescents with the cinnamon and sugar mix.
Put in the middle of the oven.
Set the oven for 350 degrees and slide in the baking sheet. (You do not have to preheat the oven because the crescents are already baked)
When the oven timer says the oven has reached 350 degrees, remove the baking sheet. The tops of the crescents should be crispy.
Let the crescents cool to touch. Enjoy! To me, these taste better than Cinnabons. YUM!
